HAZARD MANAGEMENT
Because of the dynamic database structure of SafeTsmart, you can generate a hazard register report against jobs, tasks, steps, activities, plant/equipment, chemicals and locations. This is particularly useful if you have a new person starting in a role and you want to be sure they are aware of all the hazards, and what safety behaviours are required to eliminate, isolate or minimise those hazards.
For example, a job called Site Manager can be linked to all the tasks involved.
The steps that make up each task can then be added and linked to the job.
Each step can be linked to any hazard as well as all the plant and equipment involved – the hazards associated with each of these would be shown. You can also link the job to a specific location and any hazards within that location would be shown.
When the new Site Manager is appointed, you can simply print out the hazard register for the role and they will have a comprehensive list for all the hazards that they will come in contact with and know what safety behaviours are required.
